A play scheme for children aged 5 – 12 years, which run during school holidays for just £2 per session. We run a varied programme to cover all play types, All staff and volunteers are well trained and DBS checked. 
Children have the opportunity to take part in craft activities, play on the WII, various games including table football, skipping, puzzles etc and end the session with team games or larger group games. 
We always break for snacks which is generally fruit, toast and drink which is all included in the price – sometimes we have food tasting days where children get to either make a new dish such as pizzas and cakes or taste different foods from another country. Why not let your child come and give it a try?

We aim to have a fun night playing for cash prizes every week in comfort, at The Withywood Centre. 
Play Bingo, have fun, hopefully win, then go home, have a chat and meet friends. 
New members will be made very welcome.  
All money taken in book sales, goes out in prize money that week. 

(Short Mat Bowling Club)

A short mat bowling club for the upper age group. We are not affiliated to any league – it’s very light hearted with plenty of laughter. The group is mixed gender and friendships have formed-it’s a great way to exercise and meet new people. The group play for enjoyment, it’s an afternoon of fun with tea, biscuits and a game of bowls. 
We ask bowlers to wear flat treadless rubber based shoes (no grooves) and not worn outdoor to protect the mats. We provide the woods (bowls) free of charge, so why not come and give it a try – your 1st session is free! 


Monday and Thursday:  
After-school academic support with IntoUniversity staff and trained university volunteers. Secondary students can get support with homework, coursework and revision and have access to laptops, study guides and books. 
Tuesday and Wednesday:  
Primary students can get help with homework or take part in our university themed topics that are designed to support literacey andnumeracy development. 
One-to-one support for year 11-13 students and help with educational choices and decisions. Support for Year 12s and 13s with their university/apprenticeship application. 

Sequence Dance 

Meeting day: Thursdays 
Time: 2pm – 4pm 
Age range: Over 60

A very friendly club that has been running for over 40 years - we welcome any age to attend. 
We break for a cup of tea at half time. 

Age UK 

Meeting day: Mon, Weds, Thur, Fri

Age UK Bristol offers a day service for older people and people living with dementia who live in the South of Bristol. 
New Beginnings Day Service offers a range of activities including arts & crafts sessions, adult learning, gardening, gentle exercise, music and dance. 
We have a dedicated, friendly staff and volunteers team, who understand that everyone's needs are different and are able to offer different options to suit you. 
New Beginnings also offers vital respite for carers. 

Just Sing! 

Meeting day:  
1st Wednesday of every month 
Time: 10.30am - 12noon 
Cost: £2.00 per session, includes refreshments.

Hartcliff & Withywood Community Choir 
A Choir that is free to attend, made up of all ages and abilities, why not come along on Wednesday evenings at 7pm - please contact the Centre reception for start dates.

The Steering Group

This group is open to everyone in the Community who would like to help provide a Community facility which offers opportunities for people of all ages to participate in activities that promote spiritual, physical and mental well being through positive engagement. 
We work to the vision of the Centre: 
'A Centre of excellence, changing lives through being the genuine heart of the Community, offering: Hope, Hospitality and Health'.  
We will do this by fundraising and provide Community events to raise the profile of the Centre and help organisations who are struggling financially to become more sustainable.

Bristol Credit Union (or BCU) is a community based mutual providing fair financial services for people and organisations in the former Avon County area.

Food & Support

Christians in Hartcliffe and Withywood host the Carpenters Food and Support, who are now indepentant., using local projects and orgainisations to ease crisis.  
We are not just a ‘Food bank’, we provide food aid when people are in a true crisis, we will listen and support you through this trying time. We will ask questions and clients will need to provide evidence of the crisis (Bank statement or DWP letter), clients will also need to bring ID for all in the family whom you are claiming (including children). 
Our aim is to help people in crisis - a referral voucher is required from a referral agency eg South Bristol Advice Service, Schools, Health Visitors and Hawkspring. We will help you to help yourself, we will provide support and guidance.
